Icosagen Cell Factory has been granted a European patent

Icosagen Cell Factory (previously Quattromed Cell Factory) has been granted a patent relating to its QMCF Technology. The European Patent Office announced on 25 March 2009 that it intends to grant European patent application No 06706887.4 with the title “Vectors, cell lines and their use in obtaining extended episomal maintenance replication of hybrid plasmids and expression of gene products” with European patent number 1851319.

About QMCF Technology

The QMCF Technology has been established for the efficient production of biologically active substances, such as proteins, antibodies and virus-like particles for early stage research and development processes of biologics. The QMCF Technology is a stable, multicopy episomal expression system that provides high expression levels and significantly reduces the timeline for protein and antibody production. In addition, it is applicable in constructing test-systems (cell-based assays) for drug target screening, large scale protein and antibody production, etc.

About Icosagen Cell Factory

Icosagen Cell Factory OÜ was established in 2005. The company is dedicated to the development of the portfolio of QMCF technology-based applications.
