The RTP® Technology
The RTP® Technology, is a technology, whose special feature is the utilization of an Extraction Tube containing preformulated solid lysis reagents: nonchaotropic lysis buffer, Proteinase K, carrier nucleic acid and a defined amount of coated RNA / DNA Extraction Controls. The carrier nucleic acid and the Extraction Controls are coated on the wall of the Extraction Tube. The integrated Extraction Controls are a convenient tool for the assessment of extraction efficiency and quality of the purified nucleic acids as well as for the exclusion of false negative results. Advantages:- remarkable reduction of handling and processing time by using prefilled Extraction Tubes
- highly efficient recovery of high-quality pathogen DNA and RNA from different sources, allowing very sensitive pathogen detection
- addition of internal standards is not necessary
- integrated Internal RNA and DNA Controls allow the exclusion of false negative results
