Bacterial subcloning and tagging
(pQ kit) for cloning and cDNA tagging with E2Tag in bacterial cells.Cat No K1-100-001
CLONING
- The gene of interest can be cloned into the suitable pQ vector using the restriction enzymes indicated in the MultiCloning Site (MCS), or through a PCR cloning approach.
- The pQ vectors provide E2Tag epitope tagging options which allow for E2Tag epitope tagging at either the N- or C-terminus or in the middle of the protein.
- M13 and M13 reverse sequencing primer sequences enable convenient sequencing.
- pQ vector does not contain a protein expression promoter, the kit is not suitable for recombinant protein expression in prokaryotic or eukaryotic cells.
- pQ vector is a high copy number E.coli plasmid, which can be used for E2Tag tagging and cloning only.
- Two step cloning for immunotagging of recombinant proteins.
- Eliminates the need to create specific antibodies.
- The E2Tag tagged recombinant protein can be detected with E2Tag monoclonal antibody through immunoblotting or immunofluorescence analysis.
- Anti-E2Tag antibody is visualized with HRP, AP- or FITC-conjugated goat anti-mouse antibodies (IgG).
